We ordered four of these to hold supplies (flashlight, first aid, rain poncho, clothes, etc.) for an emergency "go-pack" for each family member. Backpacks can be really expensive--even the most basic styles--and we just needed something functional, roomy, and water-resistant to be on stand-by (that we hopefully will never need to use).
This backpack is perfect for our needs. No, it is not fashionable. But it is waterproof (all the zippers are covered by the heavy-duty fabric) and has oodles of pockets: 2 zip-pockets on either side, 2 stacked zip-pockets on the front, PLUS a generous main compartment. Like most backpacks, this has padded, adjustable shoulder straps and a nylon carrying loop up top.
The only negative is that these backpacks have a strong petroleum/rubber/blacktop sort of smell, which is irrelevant for us, since these will be in storage anyway. This weird odor would probably wash out in the laundry.

Pack has nice proportions for a day pack but the waterproofing has left it with an unpleasant odor which days of airing in the sun has not mitigated much. Otherwise, no complaints and as I needed a waterproof pack, this should serve its intended purpose.

This is an excellent small backpack for day trips. Lots of pockets for my geocaching paraphernalia and camera. The large pocket works for my netbook or other larger objects. Well-padded straps. We used this on our recent vacation where we were doing some hiking...worked great!

I bought this backpack to hold my camera equipment for camping. My tripod just barely fit in it, but there was still plenty of room for my manuals and extra camera stuff. I specifically bought it because it was waterproof. Great deal!

This backpack has lots of storage and is very durable and well made and I love that it is waterproof. Perfect for protecting and carrying your necessities on all those camping trips and outdoor activities. The camo color is perfect for hunting trips. Great item.
