Spacious and comfortable.May 03, 2011

My standard Jansport backpack finally died off two weeks ago, after being used since mid-2000. I needed a replacement backpack, but nothing too big since I don't carry a lot with me when I go out. This Hurley Einstein backpack looked pretty cool and was fairly cheap, but it also seemed like it could still hold a lot, judging from the stock pictures. I've had it for a little bit now, and I can honestly say that this backpack is better than I hoped for. The design might not look like much in the pictures, but it's very comfortable and nearly holds just as much as my old Jansport (just minus the second big pouch).
In the main compartment, you get a very spacious area that can hold large things like laptops, books, boxed foods, whatever. There are also two round pouches fit for holding water bottles or canned drinks/food, or anything else small like that. One of these pouches even has an extra compartment for smaller things like coins, cards, whatever. On the sides of the backpack are mesh pouches that make for easy access for whatever you might be needing quickly. The second zipped compartment on the bag is its own small storage area in addition to 5 small pouches: a single big open one, a single big one that zips closed, two small open pouches, a small open mesh pouch and three holsters for pens or anything that clips.
The backpack straps are adjustable and fairly well-padded. Overall this is a pretty light backpack, but it seems durable enough for any use- school, hiking, camping, etc. I really don't have any complaints about it at all. Good job Hurley. Get one now while they're still pretty cheap.

I'm a freshman in college, so I needed a good backpack for all my books and my laptop. I've been looking around, but could not find one at a decent price. This backpack is cute, and it fits everything I need for class. The straps are perfect for the long walks across campus with all my stuff in my bag :) It arrived a few days ahead of scheduled time and I could not be happier. I highly suggest this backpack for anyone with a heavy load.

I have two boys, 8 and 10. These backpacks get abused everyday at school and at home. They are very durable. They have survived a whole school year and will be used again next year. I am very happy with this purchase.

I use this bag for carrying my personal 15.6in. laptop/accessories. I chose this bag because of the color and look. This bag is not designed for a laptop specifically, meaning there is no strap or separate pocket, but when wearing the backpack the laptop does not slide around receive any jarring due to walking. Straps are comfortable, nice cushion. I do wish there was more padding around the bottom and outside of the bag to help prevent damage, but I am not extra careful when dealing it and it seems to protect my PC just fine.
Great backpack for everyday use!
