3Not entirely canvasNov 12, 2010
By C. Porter
I'll start by saying the seller shipped extremely fast and got it here much sooner than expected.

The only reason I give it 3 stars is because I've been looking for a canvas backpack (which this is), but one that is entirely canvas. I have an old one from college (93)that still holds up great and was looking for another like it with side pockets. The problem is, while the entire outside is made of canvas, the inside is a black nylon lining. For the main compartment this isn't the end of the world, but the outside pocket is separated from the middle pocket only by said nylon lining (I see this falling apart and only have one big pocket accessible through two different sets of zippers).

The other thing about the pack, at least mine, concerns the zippers. They tend to "clink" together when you walk with it on your back (probably not so good if you intend to use it in the military). They also pull apart from each other if you zip them together and leave them at the top of your bag allowing your bag to open. This is easily solved by pulling the tabs to one side.

Would I recommend the bag? Yeah, probably. It's really comfortable, nice and spacious, and looks good. It's probably not the best school bag (however, that is what I use mine for--yes, I'm still in school!), but for the price and the fact that it's canvas (mostly), it's a pretty good buy.

P.S. in the picture there's a little gold plate on the back of the pack advertising their quality workmanship: "This bag is made by haoyuan factory from the finest high dens ty canvas We are specialized in producing high class causel bags." It's irony for when I teach my English class.

5Worth the buyMay 13, 2012

A very inexpensive useful sling pack. I use it to bike to and from work, to keep papers and random things in. The biggest compartment can hold regular sized folders, 8.5 x 11, and they just get smaller from there. It's very lightweight which is a plus. The clips and zippers all work the way they should. It does not have double zippers. Everything is easy to get to, and the shoulder strap is comfortable... nothing odd about it. I purchased the brown one.. it has a little more of a green tint than pictured. If you want to spend less then 50 bucks on a bag that will last, go for it.

4Nice choice for geocachingNov 10, 2010
By R. Blessing
This has been a great backpack for geocaching. I wish it had a few more pockets for storing items inside the larger compartments and a chest strap that ties the two shoulder straps together for long hikes would be nice. The pack is well made and the layout is handy. It has clips on the shoulder straps that make it nice for hanging your GPS and flashlight from for quick access. Good deal for a great price.
