5Best packpack I have ever ownedNov 18, 2009
By Michael Hayes
I wanted something to use as a commuter bag to work when I ride my bike. This bag has more than met my expectations. I thought at first, all the pockets and zippers, were going to be too much; however, I have found that separating everything has been very useful. I know just where to find my glasses, bike lights, wallet, keys, bike lock, work papers, shoes, shower supplies, gym pass, work clothes, spare jacket, etc. The quality is outstanding and the styling is great. I definitely plan to use this on all my snowboard trips (as it's very weather proof) and every plane trip (great for holding kids' toys, food, dvd player, etc.) It's weird, but I actually get excited at the thought of a chance to get to use this bag!

5Great BackpackFeb 13, 2010
By Eduardo Najera
Great backpack!! The build quality is very good. I have no issues with the zippers. I read a lot of reviews before buying and didnt find any that covered the laptop pocket that well. I was worried that there wasnt any padding on the bottom of the pack between the floor and the backpack. Glad to say that there is probably two inches of foam down there. The laptop feels very secure in there. The pack has a pocket for everything. The big pocket on the top holds my sony a100 DSLR with a 28-200mm lens attached. I'm a big guy 6' 300lb and it fits me well except for the chest strap which I never like to use anyway. They are removable.

5Best Backpack EverMay 13, 2011

I couldn't be more pleased with this backpack! I've had it for a year and there have been no zipper problems or loose seams. There are so many different compartments (this will satisfy even the most OCD of organizers) - I always no where my glasses, magic mouse, pens, pencils, ipod, headphones, calculators, ruler, ID card, cords, phone, etc. are located. No digging around for stuff! I am also very satisfied with the laptop part in the back, it is padded so there are no scratches on my laptop and because of the placement, I never have to worry about rain damage. For that matter, I have trekked across campus through a couple storms (maybe 5-10 mins. outside) and every single pocket remained dry. Overall, this backpack was designed extremely thoughtfully and it's a pleasure to use. Note that it is, however, a huge bag. I personally appreciate this because I usually have 4-5 large books, binders, and a sweater with me among other things. Every now and then someone will tell me that my backpack is as big as I am (I'm 5'4), so be aware of it's size!

5Black Hole of Doom!Sep 29, 2009

I love this bag! As a full time college student (Computer Engineering) it holds all my big books plus my notebook, accessories, water bottle, etc.

On the front there's two smaller zippered pockets, the first has two slots that I use for my PSP and TI-84, the second has all the amneties for pens/pencils, etc, with a netted zipper area that I use for my cords for my Ipod, PSP, phone, etc. In between these two is another open-air pouch that has a pocket for a phone or ipod.

On top of the bag is yet another zippered pouch for glasses or what not (I just throw my phone and Ipod in there), and there's two more zippered pouches behind that as well, one that looks like it fits a cd player, and another that looks like its for a mp3 player with headphone out port.

The main pouch is generous with a pouch on the inside of the compartment for....I don't know. I just use it for small books or paperbacks that i don't want knocked around. Then last but not least, there's a side zippered pocket for your notebook (Holds my Macbook Pro 13.3" easily, sure it will hold at least a 15.4" notebook) plus room for files or note books.

The material seems durable, as I haven't had any problems yet. Straps are comfy, and the included handle makes it easy to pick up. Zippers are fine, and etc. There is a pocket on each side that can easily hold an umbrella or water bottle. I have owned a OGIO Jackpack for about 5 years and it still looks about new, and I expect the same quality from this bag as well.

The only negative I have is that it has "Airflow" pads on the back that are supposed to keep your back "cool." Maybe its just blessed padding for my back, but it definitely doesn't keep it cool.

Anyways, it was a gift and was bought for $90 at a local retailer, so for as much as it is here, I think its a steal!

5Great backpackDec 15, 2010

I bought this bag for college and I love it! It's a little on the large side, but I live off campus so it's nice that it fits everything I need. I love the side loading laptop compartment, and paper organizer. I often carry my laptop, iPad, notebook, and papers to grade in the side, and then put my gym clothes and lunch in the large compartment, my camera in the top, my iPod in the top-top; my pencils, calculator, flash drives in the middle organizer; change and wallet in the front; and bus schedule in the little airline ticket sleeve. Then I carry my coffee and large blender bottle in the two side drink sleeves.

I love it!
