This backpack is nice and large with good sized shoulder pads. I was able to transfer everything from my old backpack plus a laptop, utility supplies, power cord and more without using all the pockets on this. Even at 35 lbs of weight loaded into it the large straps keep the load comfortable. All the zippers and parts are nice and big and feel very sturdy. The only problem I have been able to find which is more of a awkward nuisance is the two side small pockets that zipper up to open rather than down. Odd but not too bad. Great backpack and totally worth every penny.

This bag is rockin awesome!Dec 31, 2009
By Gray Ghost I had an Ogio Metro that I'd received from a technology event and used the bag for over a year. Great bag that I thought I would never change up from using. Then I found the Mastermind and found that it was just a little bit bigger - I've got pretty broad shoulders so this bag is fantastic.
The bag overall is a better fit, it's highly durable and has several compartments that are extremely helpful when you just need to carry a lot of different things with you.

Excellent quality computer backpackApr 15, 2010
By Stephen Very nice styling and good construction. Shoulder straps are well padded and comfortable. Lots of zippered external pockets for organizing everything. This bag is larger than the Ogio Metro and can certainly hold more, but the Metro is more space efficient and easier to travel with. Both are excellent choices.

I do the weekly NYC to DC and back weekend trip. I have had JanSport, LogicCase and some other backpack during the past 5 years. I "upgraded" to OGIO Mastermind and I tell you -- my first trip back from DC to NYC was heavenly. I was able to take all my toys with me...and I will give you a breakdown of what all I carried in it on my trip:
1. 16" Dell Laptop easily accessed via an outer pocket on the back (by the straps) 2. All kinds of stuff in the main zip pocket (which is large): pill containers, sunglass case, DVD boxes, newspaper, etc etc == you could easily put an extra pair of pants and a shirt in this pocket if you don't have crap like me. 3. In the lined-zipper audio pocket (seals out water): PSP, iPod, 2 Senheiser earplug phones, PSP game disc carrier with 10 game discs 4. Palm Pre in one phone pocket and my work Blackberry in the other phone pocket 5. In the folders pocket: Sony DVP FX-950 portable DVD Player; Kindle 6. In the outermost pocket: US Passport behind the zip sleeve; coins, keys and RSA card for office VPN in the zip sleeve; 2 extra watches and a Canon point and shoot camera in front of the zip sleeve 7. In the lower corner pockets: Batteries and chargers galore -- all for the devices and phones above made it in
Pretty amazing, when I carry the backpack, it is effortlessly light and comfortable. Easily the best backpack I have EVER owned.
I use my LogicCase one for my Nikon SLR body and 3 lenses. It is a light second carrier along with the OGIO. Just buy it, already.

This is great bag. I gave 4/5 instead of 5/5 because of the price. It's expensive than the other brands. Other than that it's a very nice bag.
