I needed a backpack with a padded laptop compartment that would fit my 15.6" laptop and some other books so I decided to buy this item. When I first opened my package I was excited to see how beautiful it was (the gray and purple one). However, since I am 5'0 tall I was worried whether it would look huuuge on me since it is a bit bigger than other laptop backpacks. You would think that since the backpack is big it would have a big laptop compartment, but it doesn't. I struggle to fit my 15.6" laptop in the laptop compartment and sometimes I just leave it out of padded compartment. I guess it's meant for 14" laptops or smaller, but I guess it's just this model since my roommate has a different roxy backpack and my laptop fits perfectly in hers.
Another thing that I found is that it hurts my shoulders every time I cross my arms since the shoulder pads are heavy duty. But i guess that can be a positive for those who carry heavy stuff.
Overall, I love this product! I love the colors and all of the pockets it has. I like that I can use it for school and that I can take it with me on the train ride when I'm visiting my parents back home! I guess it just wasn't meant for shorties with big laptops ;)

This backpack is sturdy and can carry a lot of stuff! There are plenty of pockets to put all of your things in. The straps are very comfortable, the only downside is if you where a spaghetti strap top the straps scratch against your shoulders-it can be a little uncomfortable. However, this is the best backpack I've ever had-go for it!

My daughter loved the backpack but it started to rip after only a couple of days of school - we called Altrec to exchange and were told that there were no more available - but we could return it and purchase a different one. Altrec provided excellent customer service and turned a disappointing event into a positive one!

Really well-crafted and extremely functional with pockets and zippers in all the right places. Very comfortable even when full of heavy textbooks. Definitely recommend.
