5Good GearDec 31, 2010

Well built piece of mil gear. Straps onto the bottom of an alice pack or molle pack. A bit bulky with all three pieces of the sleep system but it will hold all three no problem

5Spacious, water resistant, and well worth the priceJan 22, 2012

Combos well with the DEI 1606 Frame, Molle II shoulder, and belt. Has lots of room for a big sleeping bag. Web straps are long enough to strap a blanket or something beneath it. Cordlock drawstring water resistant liner inside to keep your stuff dry. Would recommend.

I bought this item used. The condition was excellent and received it in about 6 days. I have used this item with the pack several years ago when it was first issued to the Marines. This item is a good idea to help keep your sleeping system dry. If you use the 3 bag system like the military, you will have a hard time getting all 3 bags in this. It could be a little bigger. However, It still does the job.

2Worst of bunch.Oct 22, 2011

I understand that it's mil surplus and it has been used but this was a bit bad. Between the dirtyness of the pack and the ripped webbing I was disappointed. There were a couple ripped places in the webbing and one of the d rings was ripping off. Poor quality, hope others get better than I did.

3Very tight fitOct 22, 2011

I bought a DCU version of this MSS Carrier System for my LC-1 ALICE (Hellcat mod) elsewhere. I had to cut the bunched up ends to get the webbing straps through the ALICE frame and the shelf unit to get it on and that was well and great... the reason for docking two stars is because not only are the webbing straps about 2" too short to accommodate the fully compressed MSS (it cuts into the system very deeply which isn't good for the filler material), but my ACU Modular Sleep System also BARELY fit into the bag itself and I had to wrestle the thing in there (I thought at one point the seams would rip, but thankfully they didn't), despite having fully compressed it into the stuff sack. If it had been even just 1" wider on all sides, it would fit perfectly and would therefore not be such a pain in the rear to get in and out.
