A good daybag for hiking or just a walk around the parkDec 14, 2010
By John Houchins This is a nice medium sized bag. Heavy canvass with good zippers and 2 inch padded straps and back. The bag has some water proof lining, but it does line the entire pockets. It would be good enough to prevent the contents from getting wet from outside shell should it get rained on, but would not be sufficient should the user or bag find themselves out in the elements for an extended period of time.
I purchased this bag as i am the "pack mule" for the family (of 5) when we go out to an Amusement park or other outing. This bag has four zippered pockets of varying size. The main area will be sufficient for carrying a set of ponchos with room to spare for guidebooks and snacks sufficient for an afternoon. The two smaller pockets are good for carrying smaller books or similar items. There is also a small zippered pocket that could be used to store emergency cards/info/wallet/etc. On each side is an elastic pocket that can hold a 20 oz. bottle of water or cell phone, etc.
For me and my family this is a good fit. I would recommend it to others.

Great everyday bag.Jan 26, 2011
By Morgan I bought this bag for school and so far it's serving me well. I ordered the tan color and it was slighter darker in color when it arrived, but I actually like it better than what it looked like online. Just enough pockets, good zippers, good fabric. It's not huge, but I wouldn't say it's mini either, just the right size for me and my books. If you want a simple but sturdy bag for everyday use I would highly recommend this.

Not MiniJan 07, 2011
By Frogger133 It really isn't as small as it looks. i dont know why they call it mini because its the size of a normal backpack.

How adorable is this bag?Sep 02, 2011
By Mary Rosaso So, after the failure that was the Military Vintage Backback (same exact look just significantly larger), I decided to be an idiot and try this one. I did not regret it! To be exact, the dimensions of the bag are as follow:
15.7 x 13.5 x 7 (I have a 15.6 laptop, and it fits in here, snug, but I wouldn't recommend using this for something that large, my suggestion is 14.3'' and lower)
I was surprised when I saw the backpack that it really was the exact same design as the other bag.. just.. well.. smaller. To describe it's size, I wouldn't call this a regular backpack nor a mini, it's more or less in between the two, much like the size of a typical Jansport backpack.
I purchased Olive Drab, though looking at it now, I really wish I ordered the black one instead, but I'm not disappointed. The color is very vintage, like a dull forest green.
Now to the bag itself! I carry a small, 13.3'' laptop in here, along with my teen study bible, 3 thin notebooks and 2 folders (along w/ wallet and 3DS). It all fits nicely in there, no sag, no awkward fitting and it's not too comfortable, but it isn't enough for me to actually complain about. The strap problem I had before DOES NOT exist, as this one seems to be REALLY secure, as sometimes I have a hard time trying to adjust -edited out, see edit below-. I've already recieved compliments on it. There's more than enough pockets... All there is left is to test wear but that comes with time so I will update. For now, it's a great buy :]
//EDIT::.
So, I think it's been about a month so far, and I decided to knock down a star :[ I still love the bag, but I now have a couple of issues. One issue is the straps. It's become frustrating to adjust. Sometimes I want a quick loosen, and that becomes me stopping, kneeling, pulling and tugging... it's a hassle for a simple task. My other issue is the material. Strings from the loose material on the inside of the backpack are now getting caught in the zipper. It's easy to pull and break it off, and it doesn't weaken the bag, but a hassle it is.
It's still a great bag though at a reasonable price. I still highly recommend it ^^

Still a good bag but....Sep 03, 2011

After having this pack for a little over one month, the seam along the large zipper is ripping apart. I'm not hard on the bag...just use it for work and hardly fill it at all. Have to change my rating to 3 stars due to the faulty seam work. I can mend it but shouldn't have to.
